a little introduction

twobytwo pictures was born out of a passion and love for, well.. love. (:

do you remember;

the fluttery butterfly feeling in your stomach,

worrying about whether you’ve dressed appropriately,

the first time you held each other’s hands,

the way he looks at you silently, and then smile like a silly boy to himself;

the way her hands wrap around your waist,

the first kiss.

these are the little things that we start taking for granted as we get caught up in our daily lives, or even while planning for the wedding day.

i love wedding photography not just because it’s such a happy occassion but it is also a gorgeous celebration of love between two souls, along with their family and friends. i have had the honor and privilege of listening to many many speeches during the wedding, whether by the couple or their loved ones. almost all of the speeches speaks of the decision to stand by the other, to love thru the good and bad. very often, my face is hidden behind the camera because i’m incredibly moved and touched by their stories. you can see why i feel it’s a privilege, i’m allowed into the most intimate of relationships – one between lovers and another between families.

i figured the best way i could repay (though barely) this is to capture in a collection of images of what the two of you are about; who you are to him & who you are to her. it is also about remembering the many reasons why you fell in love with another – ranging from the mundane to the spectacular. did his silly smile first win your heart? or perhaps, the way she is your constant cheerleader? it is my sincere wish & hope that everytime you look at these images, you’d remember the 92103478712749554 reasons you’re in this together. it would be the best thing i could ever do for two persons in love.
